Crime Prevention & Safety

We work closely with the businesses, Police and other agencies (such as Wakefield Council) to maintain a safe and secure working environment, through the following activities: 

• Operation of a Park Wide CCTV System with 24/7 recording and timed live monitoring
• ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) camera recording
• Dedicated Security Patrols 
• Security Officers on site, responding to suspicious activity, security issues and alarm activation.
• Operation of Park Wide Tannoy System to deter criminal activity
• Crime Intelligence Sharing with Police, businesses and other agencies 
• Crime Alert System, businesses alerted to potential crimes 

Infrastructure

We work with our partners to support the delivery and further improvement of the infrastructure services on the park including: 

• Winter gritting and snow clearance (when required)
• Improved lighting on roads and footpaths
• Improve broadband access and speeds on the park
• Encourage a consistent and coordinated approach to the use of properties
• Maintain and improve roads, footpaths and verges

Environment

Working with our partners to continue making the park into an attractive, tidy and safe environment by providing: 

• Grounds Maintenance contract to control litter and eliminate other waste from public environment
• Management of shrubs and trees in public areas done in partnership with Wakefield Council Arboricultural Team
• Pollution Control - work with companies and agencies to minimise waste, debris, dust and fumes for efficent businesses on the park

Business Support

Together with our partners, support businesses on Langthwaite to grow and develop, through the provision of services including:

• Support skills development to help improve business performance and future growth
• Signposting, guidance and advice to businesses to invest in and grow their business
• Encourage initiatives which develop, improve or establish new buildings and facilities for businesses on the park
• Advise and assist businesses in accessing appropriate support to enhance skills of staff
• Briefing sessions on specific topics of interest to businesses
